"Past, Present and Future of Media" Talk Held at Karabük University
EKOTÜRK Editor-in-Chief Cengiz Özdemir drew attention to the role of artificial intelligence in journalism in the talk held at Karabük University and advised students to use Turkish well.


The "Media's Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" talk organized by Karabük University Corporate Communications Coordination took place with the participation of EKOTÜRK Editor-in-Chief Cengiz Özdemir.
 
The event held in Safranbolu Fethi Toker Fine Arts and Design Faculty Prof. Dr. Sadettin Ökten Conference Hall was met with great interest from Safranbolu Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication Dean Prof. Dr. Fatih Bayram, Rector's Advisor and Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Mustafa İnce, academics and students.



EKOTÜRK Editor-in-Chief Cengiz Özdemir evaluated the transformation from traditional press to digital media platforms in his speech. He also touched on the changes in today's media understanding and the effects of new technologies such as artificial intelligence on journalism.
 
Cengiz Özdemir emphasized the effect of artificial intelligence on journalism in his speech where he addressed the digital transformation in the media sector. Özdemir said, “Artificial intelligence is an important tool for us, but the human element will always exist at its core. It is necessary to catch up with the rhythm of the age by using artificial intelligence appropriately and correctly.”
 
Özdemir, who gave advice to students for their professional development, said, “Use Turkish well, master the written language. If you are thinking of being in front of the screen, also give importance to diction studies. However, the basis of the job is to be able to write. Following, reading and improving yourself is very important.”
 
Özdemir, who invited students who want to pursue a career in the field of media and economic publishing to EKOTÜRK, stated that they are open to internship and job applications.
