Students from Karabük University's Safranbolu Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication achieved significant success in the 10th annual "Future Communicators Competition," organized by the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT).
The documentary film "Gün Hep Gece" (Sun, Always Night), produced by students from the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, passed the preliminary judging round and qualified for the finals in the documentary film category. The project, which stands out with its creative approach and powerful narrative, was among the notable finalists.
Turkey's Best to Compete in TRT's Prestigious Competition
Hundreds of projects from across Turkey were evaluated in the competition, organized by TRT to inspire young communication professionals, showcase their talents, and help them gain a foothold in the industry. The meticulous work of the preliminary evaluation committees determined the top 10 projects in each category.
The production team for the documentary, which made it to the finals from Karabük University, included 4th-year students Melisa Yıldız, Yağmur Kaya, Senanur Gündüz, Kenan Kuliev, and Sümeyye Erdoğan, and was supervised by Dr. Lecturer Dr. Member Musa Ak took the lead.
Safranbolu Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication achieved great success in the competition last year. Asiye Karabulut and Sena Kasım, students in the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, won the "TRT Special Award" for their radio program "Voices from the Past," produced under the supervision of Department Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burak Türten.
Grand Finale in October
The finalists will be hosted by TRT as part of "Future Communicators Week," which will be held from October 9-14, 2025. In each category, the first-place winner will receive 100,000 TL, the second-place winner 75,000 TL, and the third-place winner 50,000 TL. A TRT Special Award will also be presented to a project.
The grand awards ceremony, where the winners in all categories will be announced, will be broadcast live on TRT.
