Safranbolu Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication won Third Place at the TRT Documentary Awards, Turkey's most important documentary film festival and known as the Oscars of documentaries, with the documentary "Glass Man," prepared by our students Ahmet Hakan Kurt, Yusuf Karaaslan, Kerim Demirtaş, and Tunahan Mirza Gülen and supervised by RTS Department Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burak Türten.
The awards ceremony, hosted by Okan Bayülgen and held at the Istanbul Grand Pera, was attended by TRT General Manager Mehmet Zahid Sobacı, TRT executives, prominent figures from Turkish and international cinema, and numerous guests.
The awards ceremony was broadcasted live on TRT Belgesel.
Mazhar Alanson also performed a concert at the closing ceremony of the festival, which received applications from 98 countries.
At the 16th TRT International Documentary Awards, where 40 films were shortlisted across four categories, the documentary "Glass Man" won Third Place in the Student Film Category, while our documentary "Gün Hep Gece" (Sun is Always Night) also qualified for the finals.
