The documentary film "A Man Born in the Steppe," directed by our Radio, Television and Cinema (RTS) Department student Enes Sirkeci and advised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burak Türten, Head of the RTS Department and coordinator of the Türker İnanoğlu Film Workshop, was awarded the "First Best Film Award" at the 14th HAK-İŞ International Short Film Competition.
The award ceremony for the internationally held competition, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, was attended by HAK-İŞ President Mahmut Arslan, Head of the General Directorate of Cinema Bilge Kılıç Çakır, Cultural Attaché of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ankara Samir Abbasov, managers of civil society organizations, academics, and numerous guests.
The award was presented to our student director Enes Sirkeci by HAK-İŞ President Mahmut Arslan and Head of the Culture and Arts Committee Birsen Çiçek Odabaşı.
