The Faculty of Communication at Karabük University was established following the publication of Council of Ministers Decision No. 2016/9270, dated 26 September 2016, in the Official Gazette No. 29875 on 1 November 2016.
Pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 2319 of 27 March 2020, published in the Official Gazette No. 31082 on 28 March 2020, the name of the Faculty of Communication was changed to the ‘Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication’.
The Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication is situated in Safranbolu, which is listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
In the 2021–2022 academic year, student admissions to the Department of Journalism and the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema were finalised, and teaching and learning commenced.
Pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 8785, published in the Official Gazette dated 2 August 2024 and bearing the serial number 32620, the name of the Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication has been changed to “Safranbolu Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication”.
