Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication broke an award record at RATEM!
 
Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication won a total of 4 awards with 10 students in two categories in the Communication Ideas Competition organised by the Radio and Television Broadcasters Professional Association (RATEM).
 
Approximately 500 projects from 49 universities participated in the competition; 2nd year students of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema Kenan Kuliev, Berat Aktoğ, Abdullah Mansur were awarded the First Prize in the Radio Category, while Hüdanur Güler and Melike Kaya were awarded the Third Prize.
 
In the Television category, Doğukan Aydın, Abdulsamet Mavi, Alper Kaya, Muhammed Ağar won the Second Prize, and Kağan Aktın, Hüdanur Güler and Melike Aydın won the Third Prize. The consultancy of the award-winning projects was carried out by Dr. Lecturer Burak Türten from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema.
The award ceremony of the competition, which was organised for the 13th time with the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and UNESCO Turkish National Commission, was held at Istanbul Gönen Hotel. TRT Radio Department President Hamit Yaz, Asia Pacific Broadcasters Association Intellectual Property and Law Committee President Suranga Jalayat, TRT Istanbul Radio Director Ali Fuat Gülmez presented the awards to our students.
 
The ceremony was attended by T.R. Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Director of Copyrights V. Fatoş Altunç, RATEM Chairman M. Aydın Şerbetçioğlu, 7th Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation Member Erdoğan İshakoğlu, Advertising Foundation President Aslıhan Anarat Çötelioğlu, UNESCO National Commission Member Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Timisi Nalçaoğlu, RATEM Informatics General Manager Yusuf Gürsoy, university students and many guests.
 
RATEM Chairman of the Board of Directors M. Aydın Şerbetçioğlu, who made statements about the important success of Karabük University Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication, said: "I called the Dean Prof. Dr. Fatih Bayram for this great success of Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication and said 'your students have collected all the awards, sir'. I see the source of this success as the encouragement of the faculty members to the students and the intense interest of the students in project production. I congratulate Karabük University, the dean, your teachers and your students for this success."
Yusuf Gürsoy, General Manager of RATEM Informatics, said: "The participation process of Karabük University Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication in the competition is quite impressive. In the past years, there were major universities that achieved success. However, the intense participation of Karabük University this year surprised, impressed and made us happy. After seeing this success, I examined the academic staff of Türker Inanoglu Faculty of Communication. I was very happy to see that the management and academic staff of the Faculty of Communication have a communication background. There is no doubt that Karabük University Türker Inanoğlu Faculty of Communication is in competition with the leading communication faculties. This success is an indicator of this."
 
Prof. Dr. Fatih Bayram, Dean of Karabük University Türker İnanoğlu Faculty of Communication, said: "As a young faculty, we are very happy and proud to return with 4 awards from a well-established and prestigious competition where 49 universities and approximately 500 projects competed. One of the most important issues that led us to this success is the educational approach of our faculty that combines theoretical knowledge and practice. While these awards are the first national awards of our faculty for our students, we have increased our total number of awards to 6. I would like to thank our rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Kırışık, who has always supported our work in this process, and congratulate all our students for this great success and Dr. Lecturer Burak Türten, who advised the projects.
